I began collecting at at about 10 years of age and that interest in, and love of, collecting has only grown as I’ve become older. I started writing about collecting when I began the Phantom fan site ChronicleChamber in 2006 and haven’t stopped since. I find the subject of collecting and all aspects of it fascinating and enjoy researching the history of collecting and being a collector as a lifestyle.
I eared my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and Masters in Secondary Teaching at the University of Newcastle, Australia. I worked in education for many years as an art teacher, as well as publishing and retail sectors. I’m now back in the education industry as Assistant to the Technical Professions and Finance Leader at Highbury College, UK.
My down time is usually spent reading, playing games, watching films, writing or messing around with my collectibles.
I currently live in Portsmouth, UK with my beautiful English wife.
This blog is basically a venue for me to feed my desire to talk about, discuss, examine, muse and generally geek out over collectables and collecting. My plan is to not only cover the actual collecting of items, but also to look at organising them, cataloguing them, reviewing and more. In a nutshell, this blog is about collecting as a lifestyle.
I plan to cover storage, organisation and cataloguing of collectables, discussion pieces on items I pick up, thought pieces on various franchises and items and perhaps the odd review of two. If there is anything you’d like me to specifically discuss, feel free to e-mail me.
Enjoy the blog.
